What is Web 2.0?

I would to Start a discussion here today about the web 2.0? What I know, It is the new version of web that is having some special features and that provides to the Google a different Era for their competition over Netscape and others that were compatible with only web1.0 properties! But I would like to ask what is the relation of this web property with link building strategies?

Dear Jack,

All I know is web 2.0 is the to sum up the new approach / style / feel to the new era websites when it comes to features, look n feel and also approach. For example the older color palettes used to be different, the way a page loads used to be different (now ajax and jqery) etc. But web 2 came long ago, its time for web 3.0 + but no news!

web 2.0 is second generations of www because there are many application updated and new introduced in the market like face book,linkdin,email,etc so people are taking this all in their daily routine and more beneficial.
