Post How to improve the Wordpress Blog loading time?

    Hey all..

My blog is loading really really slow! Can you guys suggest any method to speed up the blog's loading time.
I have a wordpress blog installed and has only 5 - 6 light weight plugins, not sure what is causing the blog to load with less contents and a light weight theme..

    Cheers
    Eric

    Hey Eric,

The various factors that could affect your blog loading time are:

    1. Your web hosting
    2. Usage of images
    3. Usage of javascripts or jquery
    4. Content on the page

You could control the above to improve your website loading time. In addition, usage of cache plugins for your wordpress blog will certainly speed it up.

Thanks a lot for the very quick and detailed reply.
Regarding the suggestions, I think except for cache plugins all others are in place. I have a good host and the website is relatively new to have huge content. I will install cache plugin and the post you have linked to has some real good info. I am going for WP Total cache and will let you know the progress.

    Cheers

    Eric,

Yes as discussed, Cache plugins are the best for wordpress blogs to speed up.
In addition, you might want to do a load test for your blog and it will clearly show what is causing the delay.

    regards, Paul
