We find a lot of wordpress blogs now-a-days on the web, if you want numbers i read online a few months ago that there are 180,000 Blogs installed every Day! Isnt that more than enough to give you an idea how many are around you on this piece !

Ideally a Blog means something that one person: “the Blogger” uses as a platform to share his views and openions, its usually like a web log or a diary. Now professional web design blogs and Niche blogs are not Blogs anymore, they are Niche Specific websites or Portals with Loads of useful information. So Make sure you DO NOT call your blog a BLOG anymore, call it a website or portal specializing in your niche.

Second Google Page Rank Updated on April 1st 2010 !!!!
It had been observed as expected , Below is the page rank  schedule chart:

Latest PageRank update (PR) – Update 31 December 2009

1st PR update in 2010 : 31 March – 1 April 2010
2nd PR update in 2010 : 31 June – 1 July 2010
3rd PR update in 2010 : 31 September – 1 October 2010
4th PR update in 2010 : 31 December – 1 January 2011

 So as per the Schedule, It was observed that there was a PR update on the websites as well as on the PR Tools that google has made a PR updates on many websites.

A Hot topic now discussed arround twitter is How to get a nice twitter background, well there are two options:  

1. Download and use any bg that are ready available to download from websites.
2. Create your own Twitter background.

Often webdevelopers and designers face issue with updating content in their website and find that always the old page is loaded and the updated contents fail to load. This is basically beacause when browsers loads a page for the first time, it stores the image and data in the cache, this inturn results in loading the website from cache next time users browses the website.

If the caching of your website is disabled from your website code, then each time the website is loaded, the browser does not check for the cache and fresh and updated content is loaded.

This could be easily achieved by adding the below simple code in the Meta code of your website, just paste the below code in your html in place of meta tag. The time specified need not be the same, it just needs to be an older date than today !

Its very frustrating to see that your blog images are used by other not so good blogs or spam blogs by hotlinking your images, this has 2 main disadvantages.

So to avoid this there are 2 methods, 1st is a difficult one for newbies, its writing a htaccess code and protecting images, but could affect images in your feeds, second is to use the below plugin.

When is the next Google Pagerank update Or Google PR Update?

Assuming you have that you have reached this page because you already know what is a page rank, Let me continue..
PageRank values vary from 0 – 10, PR0 being the least and PR10 the Highest valued.

The first PR update this year was on the 2010 New year. And as per the previos google PR update pattern, we could expect the next PR update in between march 31st to April mid. Ideally there would be 4 PR updates from google a year.
