India – the Hot cake on the web

The Internet has been ever intensifying subject in our present world. It has not only revolutionized the way we do things in our daily life, it has in fact changed the Very Us!

The Amount of Information the internet has is enormous and so the demand it has. Now a days if we need a Burger we do a “compare” on the web before making a choice, you can even carry a serious restaurant critic in your pocket in the form of your internet enabled mobile device.

The Internet is accessed by all around the globe and one Small speck on this earth that has been seriously drawing attention of the gigantic internet players has been the Internet swarm from the Hindustan (INDIA).

Last day I did a study on the Google search query density on few keywords that were of my interest and to my surprise the numbers were alarming! Its written India, India and India all over, the Google Insights and Google Trends keeps on showing Geographic location density on India in Deep Blue color followed by US and AUS in lighter colors, but India was way above the stats.

 

So what do we learn from this? If you have a website targeting Indian Audience, if its gonna do well then you are gonna do very well !!

In my future articles I would bring different stats and numbers that imply a lot on the nature or trends on the web that give global signals to where we are going.

   Found your post very interesting and enlightening, except that you did not mention what keywords you used in your search. I’m writing a blog targeted mainly at readers from India, but I have more readers from US, Canada and Europe than from India.

     Hey Rohit,
     Nice to meet you. There are lot of reasons to this. I have written another article on ” Why i have more traffic from india than usa” this one can give more insights on the reason why the traffic is more from one geo. This can be vise versa also. Basically traffic depends on , where your server is hosted, majority of backlinks form which geo directories, target audience etc.

   Hi there,

   I have a Multiuser WordPress Blog about Green Living. Since a year one of the Sub Bolgs generates a huge amount of traffic from India (at the moment 60% of the whole Blogs traffic is from india) while the other Blogs have a CTR of around 3% on adsense, the blog that atracts the indian visitors has a CTR under 0,2% . I am looking for a solution for this as the traffic is pretty high (around 15.000 uniques/Month) Does anyone know a good Ad Programm that converts good for Indian traffic ? the site should make 10 times more money than it does at the moment.

     Dear DenDon,

     You have a very valid point here, It is true that traffic rom India generates very low income – especially for Adsense. The main reason is the ads served for indian users are ads published by Indian Advertisers -> this means they invest lower when compared to USD investments and it takes lesser money to get to the top when compared to USD.

     I would recommend you giving Chitika a Try, it works sometimes better for me for sites with good Indian Traffic. But remember that the general logic is same. It would recommend you to try and attract more of the western traffic with different methods, you could refer on of my article that could give you some tips: http://www.napincome.com/use-geo-targeting-to-increase-your-adsense-earnings/
